T. Edward & Alvalene P. Karlsson Scholarship Awards

Scholarship applications are available to students up to age 25, (As of Sweden Day), entering or enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or technical program leading to a certificate or degree.
Named for Alvalene P. and T. Edward “TEK” Karlsson, two dedicated editors and photo journalists who tirelessly chronicled every noteworthy event and celebration for Nordstjernan, the Swedish-American newspaper publishing for more then 140 years. They joined Nordstjernan in 1973 and actively contributed for many years. Their dedication, hard work and professional standards are guiding examples for scholarship applicants every year.
